On the evening of December 15, 2006, SIA held a Sino-Russian Friendship Get-together with Shanghai Society for People's Friendship Studies and Shanghai Sino-Foreign Cultural and Art Exchange association. Over 60 Chinese participants and 40 Russian friends working and studying in Shanghai including Russian consular officials attended the get-together. SIA Executive Vice President Sun Xiyuan, Liu Wenqing, President of Shanghai Sino-Foreign Cultural and Art Exchange Association and Deputy Consul General Sergey Y. Paltov spoke at the get-together.
