On the afternoon of November 12, 2007, SIA held a meeting at the Equatorial Hotel to sum up its translation work for the Special Olympic Games. Executive Vice President Sun Xiyuan presided over the meeting and honorary presidents Sun Zhu and Wang Yifang, Vice President Xia Yongfang and over 60 members who participated in Special Olympics translation service attended the meeting.    
    Executive Vice President Sun Xiyuan gave a briefing on SIA's translation service for the Special Olympic Games and said that SIA's provision of translation service for the Special Olympic Games fully embodied its aim of serving the foreign affairs work and serving the society in Shanghai . Many participants spoke at the meeting, giving their own personal experiences at the Special Olympics Games and showing great care and love for the intellectually disabled people. They said that in their volunteer work they worked with love and harvested happiness. They cherished this opportunity to work as volunteers for the Special Olympics.
