Sponsored by the Translation Service Committee of Translation Association of China, the 6 th National Translation Service Management Symposium was held in Xian from October 27 -29, 2007. TAC advisors Song Shusheng and Lin Wusun, TAC President Liu Xiliang, First Executive Vice President Zhao Changqian, Vice Presidents Yin Chengdong, Wu Xizeng and other TAC leaders attended the symposium. The opening ceremony was presided over by Vice President Yin Chengdong and Vice President Wu Xizeng made a work report on behalf of the Translation Service Committee. President Liu Xiliang delivered an important speech in which he fully commended the work of the Translation Service Committee in recent years. The theme of the symposium is “The Management and Development of Translation Service Industry and Its Social Responsibility”. SIA Executive Vice President Sun Xiyuan and Vice Secretary General Zhu Wenhui attended the symposium.
